He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Frand and Gladys Victoria Barr (Nelson). He is survived by: his wife Frances Louise Bain of Mt. Pleasant; his children, John Mark Barr of Mt. Pleasant, Philip Matthew Barr of Mt. Pleasant and Linda Louise Barr of Annandale, VA; his granddaughters, Megan and Allison Martin; and his sister Wanda Thomas (Duane) of Mt. Pleasant.
