Marlene L. Statler Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene L. Statler of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, who passed away on August 16, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Miles Mallams and Ruth Mallams (Kopp); her husband Bob; her son-in-law Terry Sammons; her brothers, Dale Mallams and Marvin Mallams; and her siblings-in-law, Phyllis Mallams and Dick Roach.

She is survived by: her daughters, Lori Scherwin (Shannon) of Mesa and Christi Sammons of Conesville; her sister Jan Roach of Mount Pleasant; and her sisters-in-law, Joann Mallams of Mount Pleasant and Mary Rich of Wayland. She is also survived by four grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established for the First United Methodist Church and Hospice Compassus.
