She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Sabin and Dorothy Sabin; her husband Lennis Moore; and her brother Jim Sabin. She is survived by: her son Lucas Moore (Erin) of Norman; her grandchildren, Amber and Linden; her son Benjamin Moore (Sarah Frydenlund) of Decorah; her granddaughters, Alvina and Iona; her child Catie Scott (Bob) of Washington, D. C.; her grandsons, Anderson, Sam and Ezra; and her siblings, Steve Sabin (Kathy), Bill Sabin and Gretchen Sabin Hansen (Mark). She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Community School Foundation in honor of Sandy's lifelong commitment to education. In lieu of flowers, guests attending the celebration of life are invited to bring school supplies and/or backpacks, which will be donated in Sandy's memory.
