With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stanley E. Hill of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, who passed away on December 18, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hill and Bertha Hill (Christner); his grandson Clint Taylor; his stepgrandson Chad Roth; his son-in-law Reggie Parcel; and his siblings, Lester Hill, Mina Crile, Leola Whitney, Carl Hill, Max Hill, Jay Hill, Kenneth Hill and Florence Wesley.
He is survived by: his wife Tina Smith; his children, Beverly Lundgren (Dave) of New London, Pamela Parcel of Mount Pleasant, Tom Hill (Sue) of Iowa City, Gerald Hill of Iowa City, Jim Hill (Beth) of Iowa City and David Hill (Susan) of Omaha, NE; his stepchildren, Kevin Smith (Kim) of Earlville, John Smith (Ann) of Dubuque and Kristina Roth (Dan) of Galena, IL; and his sister Melva Sammons of Mount Pleasant. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 9 step great grandchildren, 2 great great granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Faith Lutheran Church, EveryStep Hospice, Avenue of Flags or American Legion Post 58.
