She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Lewis and Ada Clara Smithhart (Horning); her son Bradley Butcher; her siblings, Ralph "Smitty" Smithhart and Beatrice Thornton; her brothers-in-law, Ted Schinstock and Gurvis "Dobie" Volner; and her nieces, Teresa Harvey and Terry Gately.
She is survived by: her former husband William Warren Butcher; her husband Clayton J. Hawbaker; her children, Daniel Wesson Butcher (Angi) of Mount Pleasant and Lori Birchfield (Frank) of Mount Pleasant; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ethan, Michael, Matthew and Addison; and her sisters, Joyce Dorothy (Ron) of Mount Pleasant, Peggy Volner of Salem and Margaret Schinstock of Salem.
Memorials may be directed to Every Step Hospice or to the Mount Pleasant REC Center in her memory.
