He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Leslie Eugene and Prudence Irene Tolander (Abrahamson); and his sisters, Donna Zuk, Louise Unkrich and Joanne Dawson.

He is survived by: his sons, Gregory Tolander (Janet) of Roseville, CA, Aaron Tolander (Shari) of Winfield, Stuart Tolander (Theresa) of Yucca Valley, CA and Matthew Tolander of West Hollywood, CA; his grandsons, Jared (Kim), Jacob (Lydia), Conner and Mitchell Tolander; and his stepchildren, Randy Coleman (Chris), Wes Coleman (Barb), Diane Glass and Karen Miller (Mike).

Those considering an expression of sympathy may direct memorials to the Swedesburg Evangelical Lutheran Church.
