She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale Barnes and Pauline Barnes; and her brother Darwin (John). She is survived by: her husband John W. Carty of Abingdon, Virginia.; her children, John Jeffrey and Dixie; her grandchildren, Matthew and Katie; and her great grandchildren, Owen and Elizabeth.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services (102 S Olive St, Winfield, IA 52659). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Winfield First Presbyterian Church (302 S Locust St, Winfield, IA 52659).
