He is survived by: his daughters, Kendra Knottnerus (Eric) of Ainsworth and Kori Rich of New London; his stepchildren, Gidget Crossett (Andy) of Mt. Pleasant, Tony Stuart (Sharon) of New London and John Stuart (Sharon) of Danville; his siblings, Marcia Gaines of Fairfield, Kelly Ripperger (Mark) of Burlington and Tony Rich (Liz) of Burlington; and his brother-in-law Ron Hummer of Burlington. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established for the American Cancer Society and Alzheimer's Research.
