He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett McMahon and Mina McMahon (Odekirk); his siblings, Michael McMahon and Mary McMahon; his parents-in-law, Ralph Feldman and Dorothy Feldman; his brother-in-law James Gardner; and his niece Kim Kempf.
He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn McMahon; his daughters, Christina McMahon-Osborn, Cynthia Dunham (Andrew) and Carrie Cockrell (John); his grandchildren, Hannah, William, Dylan, Cadence Osborn, Owen, Adelyn Dunham, Hayden and Alayna Pumphrey; and his great grandchild Samuel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
A rosary will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at 715 10th Avenue SW, Mount Vernon, IA 52314. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at 715 10th Ave SW, Mt Vernon, IA 52314. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (212 7th St SE, Mt Vernon, IA 52314).
Memorials in Tom's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
