He was predeceased by : his wife Arlene Bruns of Denison; his daughter Carol Jean; his sisters, Betty Griffin (Joe) and Dorothy Jensen (Keith); his siblings-in-law, Marvin Jensen, Leonard Bruns (Betty) and Leora Neumann (Harvey); his great grandchild Owen Burgoyne; his niece Robin Rogers; and his nephew Mark Jensen.

He is survived by : his children, Ron Ruberg of Tucson, Barb Kuchel (Mark) of Kingsley and Ken Ruberg (Michal Baird) of Etowah; his grandchildren, Stephanie Pratt (Terry), Chad Kuchel (Darcy), Lauren Burgoyne, Adam Ruberg (Kelly), Kate Fulbright (Kevin) and Emma Ruberg; his stepgrandson Gary Blancke; and his sister Jean Jensen of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Moville Fire Department or Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville.
