He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Pilar and Merleen Pilar (Cook); his son Nicholas; his granddaughter Madelyn; his in-laws, Leo and Veronica Koebel; his siblings-in-law, Trudi Koebel, Elaine Koebel, Paula Jensen and Mark Burke; and his niece Theresa Myres.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Koebel; his children, Travis Pilar (Leslie) of Kearney, MO., Kimberly Pilar (Daniel Locke) of Sioux City, IA. and Justin Pilar (Trisha) of Sergeant Bluff, IA.; his grandchildren, Zoey, Lincoln Pilar of Kearney, MO., Alexander Edwards and Avery Pilar of Sergeant Bluff, IA.; his siblings, Dean Pilar (Traci) of Columbus, NE., Lori Wagner (Craig) of Creighton, NE., Shirleen Wills (Mike) of Greenville, SC. and David Pilar (Donna) of Lamar, SC.; and his in-laws, Daniel Koebel (Sharon Cooper) of Redmond, WA., Rosi Klemmensen (Ray) of Cedar Falls, IA., Kathy Myres of Moville, IA., David Koebel (Judi Gabel) of Omaha, NE., Linda Burke of Norwalk, IA., John Koebel (Kathy) of Sioux City, IA. and Bryan Jensen of Elgin, NE.. He is also survived by 27 nieces and nephews, many great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and many, many more friends.
