She was predeceased by : her mother Denise Yvonne Herveline Souilhe (Penvern); and her grandparents, Jean and Yvonne Penvern. She is survived by : her father Maurice Charles Gaston of France; her husband Bruce McChesney of Muscatine; her children, Llewellyn Jones of England, Diggory Jones of Netherlands, Chas McChesney of North Liberty, Sara Hansen (Todd) of Muscatine, Jesse McChesney of Muscatine and Amanda Leopard of Davenport; and her siblings, Patrick Souilhe of Martinique and Evelyne Pelly (Peter) of Singapore. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Per her wishes, her body has been donated to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program.
