He was predeceased by: his parents, Ottis Edna Luttrull and Horton; his sons, Charles Luttrull Jr. and Randy Luttrull; and his siblings, James, Dean, Jack, Ermine, Bob, June, Ruby, Betty, Louise and Dorothy.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Garrison of Columbus Junction; and his children, Sandy Howe (Randy) of Letts, Carl Luttrull of Muscatine and Harry Luttrull (Carolyn Robertson) of Mediapolis. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
