He was predeceased by : his mother Margie Whitney McIntire. He is survived by : his father Rex McIntire (Cheryl); his partner Jody Morris; his children, Britton Falzarano (Tito), Lainey Truitt (Roman) and Grayson Morris; his grandchildren, Meryl, Wren and Laurel; his sister Janet Godwin (John); his nephew Joshua Fahrenkrog (Shawnna); his niece Shelby Fritz (Andrew); and his pet Cooper.

Daryl donated his body to the University of Iowa, Deeded Body Program for medical research. Memorials may be made in his honor to Jody Morris for Crossroads.
