He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Noble and Estella Noble (Edington); his former wife Phyllis Howard; his wife Mary Noble; his brothers, William and John Noble; and his granddaughter Carie Geertz.
He is survived by: his children, James Noble, Jr. (Judy) of Muscatine, Connie Fry (Ned) of Mediapolis and Jeffrey Noble (Barbara) of Solon; his grandchildren, Jason Noble (Leah), Tyson Geertz, Amy Justus (Sean), Kara Conner, Sarah Noble-Hagerty (Tom), Kate Noble-Pierson (Nick) and Luke Noble (Kyndra); his stepchildren, Todd Duncan (Linda) and Lori Toyne (Randy); and his sister Betty Holtz (Gary) of Fairborn. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for Wesley United Methodist Church.
