James Wesley Yerington Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 19, 2025, at the age of 85, James Wesley Yerington of Muscatine, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Wesley Yerington to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Yerington and Gertrude Yerington; his wife Rosalee Yerington; his siblings, Donald Francis Yerington, John William Yerington, Charles Yerington, Leo Edward Yerington, Kathleen Yerington Brockert and Gertrude P. Yerington; his children, James Yerington, Pamela Jo Yerington (Jane Yerington) of Muscatine and Joseph Yerington; and his son-in-law Jess Spitznogle.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah "Deb" Goddard (Gene Goddard) of Letts, Kathy Zaehringer of Muscatine, Ronda Brown (Craig Lewis) of Muscatine and Randall Welsch (Barbara) of Muscatine; and his daughter-in-law Kellie Yerington (late James Yerington). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Marys Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the American Legion (110 S Houser St, Muscatine, IA 52761).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kathy to help with the purchase of a headstone.
