He was predeceased by: his parents, Chalmer Genung and Marjorie Genung (Schrock); and his siblings, Beth Ann and Lester. He is survived by: his children, Holly Brockert (Korey Reynolds) of Muscatine, Nicole Genung of Wisconsin and Joshua Genung of Muscatine; his grandchildren, Sean Steepleton, Kyndra Genung, Makynzie Genung, Keaton Gomez, Logan Turner, Esmeralda Reynolds, Brooklyn Genung and Cayleigh Turner; and his siblings, Timothy Genung of Muscatine, Charles Genung (Sandy) of Muscatine, Kevin Genung (Cindy) of Tipton, Nancy Nelson (Ken) of Hilton Head, Julie White (Gene) of Muscatine and Caroline Shaner (Jeff) of Burlington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
