He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Eric Connor. He is survived by: his parents, James L. Blouse and Suzanne M. Blouse (Champion) of Muscatine; his children, Luna Jean (Mike Wesson) of Troy, Brittney Connor (Bryer Heath) of Muscatine and Harley Butler (Renee) of Troy, Montana; his grandchildren, Hunter Babcock, Miley Babcock, Madelyn Connor, Delylah Upshaw, Lucy Connor, Kash Connor and Talon Schlieper; his brother Joseph Blouse (Lisa) of Fruitland; his nephew Oren Blouse; the mother of his children Stephanie Butler of Chippewa Falls; and his close friend Tuco.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, August 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the VFW (1415 Grandview Ave, Muscatine, IA 52761).
A memorial has been established for the family in John's name.
