John leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. John’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew John will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Muir (Jack) and Irene Muir; his wife Susan Muir (Sue); his daughter Melissa Kulow (Muir); his son-in-law Aaron; his grandchildren, Aaden and Ava; his sister Jennifer Cook (Muir); and his brother-in-law Cliff Cook.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 101 E Mississippi Dr, Muscatine, IA 52761.
Memorials may be made to Friends of Musser Public Library or the Imagination Library through United Way of Muscatine County.
