She was predeceased by: her parents, John Prins and Hendrika Boer; her children, Andy and Christine; and her brothers, Gerry and Charles Prins.
She is survived by: her husband Jon Merritt; her daughters, Kelly Merritt and Diane Merritt; her grandchildren, Zana (David), Lena (Justin), Dayton and Brayden; her great grandchildren, Andrew, Emily, Amber, Miranda, Libby, Easton and Wyatt; and her siblings, Robert Prins, Eileen Prins, Reg Prins, Iris Gibson and Sue Prins. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Faith United Church of Christ.
