He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Carl and Marjorie Pearl Strause (Terrill); his grandson Blaine Michael Strause; and his brother Wayne Strause. He is survived by: his wife Patti Strause of Muscatine; his daughters, Jodi (Randy) and Sara (Kevin); his grandchildren, Bethany, Julia, Wade and Emilie; his great grandchildren, Vivien, Freya, Bowen, Jetzyn, Agustus, Magnolia, Sonder and Jason; and his siblings, David Strause (Judy) of Muscatine, Wanda Strause of West Liberty and Birdie Meyer Davenport (Mike).
