He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Carlson and Letha Carlson (Nelson); his wife Margie; and his daughter-in-law Cherrie Carlson. He is survived by: his children, Larry Carlson (JoAnn) of Muscatine, Tim Carlson of Muscatine, Bob Carlson (Karen) of Wilton, Jim Carlson (Wendy) of Davenport and Mindy Miller (Matt) of Muscatine; his grandchildren, Beth Reesink, Samantha Blumenberg, Cristie Humiston, Neil Sauer, Jennifer Duggan, Wyatt Miller, Juleah Miller, Kyle Carlson, Kasey Carlson and Kelsey Carlson; and his great grandchildren, Jakob, Kaine, Calin, Trenton, Adam, Avery, Jonny and Salem.

A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Lawrence.
