He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Weikert and Marilyn Weikert (Brei); and his siblings, Linda, Jeff and Melvin.
He is survived by: his wife Elsie Josephine Fromer of Muscatine; his son Michael Weikert, Jr. (Lori) of Muscatine; and his grandchildren, Justin Weikert of Muscatine, Jeremy Weikert (Sarah) of Muscatine and Lexie Weikert of Denver. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Michael.
