Rainer leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rainer’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Rainer will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerhard Nitsche and Theodora Nitsche (Kleinert). He is survived by: his wife Donna Nitsche of Hills; his children, Amy Nitsche of New Smyrna, Lisa Exline of Columbus Junction, Tami Plank (Rod) of Riverside and Tony Williams (Corie) of Iowa City; and his siblings, Renate Geosselein of Germany and Winfred Wanka of Germany. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to Compassus Hospice or Rock Steady Boxing, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals living with Parkinson's disease.
