He was predeceased by : his father Alberto G. Hernandez; and his mother-in-law Riva Lessenger Brown. He is survived by : his mother Beatrice Ramos Hernandez of Muscatine; his wife Kristy Nicole Brown of Muscatine; his children, Kaitlyn Bierman of Phoenix and Jett Hernandez of Muscatine; his granddaughter Emmery Kay Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona; his siblings, Roel Hernandez of Bettendorf, Albert Hernandez of Bettendorf, Rolando Hernandez of Muscatine and Amy Quiroz (Jesse) of Muscatine; his brothers-in-law, Gabe Brown of Muscatine and Chad Stuart of Muscatine; and his father-in-law Keith Brown of Melrose, Iowa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home (1931 Houser St, Muscatine, IA 52761).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of Kristy Hernandez, for a future trust for Jett Hernandez.
