She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Barrell and Velta Barrell of Seymour, IA.; her husband Don Phelps; her son Paul Phelps; her granddaughter Brittany Zemo; her great grandchild Arianna Surber; her siblings, Darlene Miller, Perry Barrell (Lou), Gary Barrell and Butch Phelps; and her brother-in-law Bob Tomlinson.

She is survived by: her son Mike Phelps (Stephanie) of State Center, IA; her daughter-in-law Pamela Phelps of Centerville; her grandchildren, Sammi Ruckman (Ricky) of Centerville, Michael Phelps (Ashtyn) of Mystic, Amanda Kury (Matt) of Moulton, Kiera Phelps (Elias) of Centerville, Jake Surber of Centerville, DaVeena Surber of Newton, Salenea Phelps of Ferguson and Joel Phelps of Ankney, IA; her great grandchildren, Evan, Jase, Jaxson, Landon, Logan, Zerek, Sophia, Nevaeh, Vinny, Vanessa, Zoey, Alaina, Emma, Aubree, Chase and Raife; her sisters, Shirley Tomlinson of Des Moines, IA and Carma Morrow (Bill) of Centerville, IA; her sister-in-law Dorothy Barrell (Ellen Phelps) of Centerville, IA; and her brothers, Donnie Barrell (Marilyn) of Ackworth, IA and Rodger Barrell (Janie) of Centerville, IA. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
