It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jason J. Kraus of Nashua, Iowa, who passed away on July 19, 2025, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his pet Jack; his father Calvin Kraus; and his parents-in-law, John and Jean MItchell. He is survived by: his mother Sharon Kraus (Zech) of Garner; his wife Janell of Nashua; his siblings, Tom Kraus (Lisa) of Garner, Brian Kraus (Sherri) of Le Mars and Ellen Halley (Dan) of Kona, HI; his brothers-in-law, Jeff Mitchell and James Mitchell (May); and his siblings' children, Andrea, Ben, Kaitlyn, Jena, Jesse, Breanne, Alexandra, Haleigh, Jayden and Kaila. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and special friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church (760 W 8th St, Garner, IA 50438).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for donations in Jason's name to Nashua EMS, Nashua Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association or Australian Shepherds Furever.
