The memory of Sharon Lee Merfeld of Nashua, Iowa, who passed away on April 18, 2024 at the age of 88, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by : her parents, Richard Chandler and Marvlyn Chandler Stuelke (Castor); her stepfather Theron Stuelke (Mick Merfeld); and her sons, Greg Merfeld and Tim Merfeld.

She is survived by : her husband Mick Merfeld; her daughter Suzy Turner (Keith) of Rockford; and her daughters-in-law, Carrie Merfeld of Manteco and Sheri Merfeld (Takeguma). She is also survived by four grandchildren, and many friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hugeback & Johnson Funeral Home - Nashua (319 Main St, Nashua, IA 50658). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Little Brown Church (2739 Cheyenne Ave, Nashua, IA 50658). A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (1301 Main St, Nashua, IA 50658).

To honor Sharon's love of reading and history, the family requests memorial contributions be made in her name to the Nashua Public Library or the Nashua-Plainfield National History Day Program.
