Betty Mentzer Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 19, 2020, at the age of 88, Betty Mentzer of Nemaha, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Forest McKay and Agnes McKay (Rosenkjar); her son Wayne Everett Mentzer; and her siblings, Bob, Bruce McKay, Donna Hudgel and Beverly Dwyer.

She is survived by: her husband Howard Mentzer of Sac City, IA; her children, Keith Mentzer (Kathy) of Early, IA, Karen Werner (Wayne) of Schaller, IA, Daniel Mentzer of Iowa City, IA and Matthew Mentzer (Katherine) of Eldridge, IA; her grandchildren, Curtis Mentzer (Kelly Burke), Kristina Spence (Bradley), Michael Mentzer (Angie), Michelle Johnstone (Jeff), Stephannie Culbert (Aaron), Trenton Werner (Diana), Clayton Werner (Ying), Ryan Mentzer and Sophia Mentzer; and her great grandchildren, Isaia, Mariana Martinez, Maddox Spence, Colton, Caden Mentzer, Lucas Smith, Aubrey, Sydney Johnstone, Logan, Kyra Gibbins, Allen Brenner, Daynia and Tristan Werner. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Kindred Hopice - 831 N Griffith Rd, Carroll, IA, the United Methodist Church in Nemaha, IA or Park View Rehabilitation Center in Sac City, IA.
