He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Adkins and Greata Adkins (Bishop); and his siblings, Johnie, Headi, Mary and Phyllis (Cooper).
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Reuben, Cindy, John and Steve; and his sister Ruby (Hunt). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Citylight Church (2109 Railroad Hwy, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
