He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Ring and Charlotte Ring (Torneten); his wives, Sheila Patten and Libby Shinn; his son Lee Ring; and his siblings, Rosemary Ausdemore, Margaret Church, Alvin Ring and Carrie Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Ring (Marlene) of Neola, Karlene Schultz (Bill) of Bellevue, Greg Ring (Diana) of Neola, Jennifer Smith (Fred) of Minden, Rebecca Ring of Bellevue and Ralph Ring (Rena) of Roland, Iowa; his daughter-in-law Sandy Ring of Council Bluffs; his stepchildren, Teresa Wisecup (Lee) of Missouri Valley and Troy Shinn of Minden; his siblings, Shirley Masker of Neola and Bob Ring (Judy) of Underwood, Iowa; and his siblings-in-law, Jana Ring of Neola, Jean Thomas of Norfolk, Gloria Swenka of Solon, Linda Lenning (Chris) of Woodbine, Iowa and Tom Davis of Cabot, Arkansas. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren.
