He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Harrison and Karen Harrison (Sesker). He is survived by: his wife Mary of Nevada; his children, Mindi Heitland (Brent) of Waukee, Joni Klemesrud (Andy) of Waukee and Ryan Harrison (Ellen Schoville) of Seminole, Florida; his grandchildren, Mack, Turner Heitland, Nolan, Drew and Olivia Klemesrud; and his sisters, Deann Zmolek (Steve) of Solon, Julie Stevens (Aaron Jones) of Ankeny and Lynne Mitchell (Jerry) of Nevada.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory - Nevada (1418 Fawcett Pkwy, Nevada, IA 50201, USA). A prayer will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (1110 11th St, Nevada, IA 50201).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nevada High School FFA Chapter, helping students experience the same love of agriculture that was such an important part of Denny's life.
