He was predeceased by: his in-law Mabel Kelso. He is survived by: his sister Joy Beth Anderson (Jeff); his wife Vicki Dodson (Kelso); his children, Kendra Dodson Breitsprecher (Dean) and Joseph Kelso Dodson; his grandchildren, Kelso Breitsprecher (Beth Shaffer), Josie Shelton (Emma), Patrick Breitsprecher, Joseph Mendal Dodson, Gracie Dodson and Lucy Sharron Dodson; and his great grandchildren, Sam and Colton Shelton.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Central Presbyterian Church (932 5th St, Nevada, IA 50201). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
