He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Ankeny Brown and Della May Shannon; and his siblings, Harold, Ruth, Carl, Faye, Nina, Rita, Beth, Earl, Gary and Dean.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Johnson; his children, Dan Brown (Ashley), Kristin James (Larry) and Ryan (Ashley Cooprider-Brown); his grandchildren, Caleb Brown (Kayla), Anna Brown, Benjamin James, Nicholas James, Spencer James, Griffin Brown and Willow Brown; his great grandchildren, Roanin Brown and Aeowyn Brown; and his siblings, Neva Campbell (Bill) and Paul Brown (Sally). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory - Nevada (1418 Fawcett Pkwy, Nevada, IA 50201, USA). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Nevada First United Methodist Church (1036 7th St, Nevada, IA 50201).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nevada First United Methodist Church or Mainstreet Nevada.
