He was predeceased by : his parents, James Sinclair Harris and Grace Bobenhouse; his wife Ethel Norma Hill (Lemons); his brothers, Vincent and Lawrence Harris; his niece Rosie Carpenter; and his nephew Ron Carpenter.

He is survived by : his children, Patricia Fischer (David) of Des Moines, Gary Hill (Phyllis) of The Villages, FL and Janice Hill of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Timothy Kinnan (Donna), Brian Kinnan (Joni), Deb Jansen (Justin), Becky Thomton (John), Alana Bothun-Hill, Erik Bothun (Chelsea) and Adam Bothun-Hill (Jennifer); and his great grandchildren, Bryson, Paige, Summer, Zachary, Emilia, Alyssa and Dane.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Lutheran Church in memory of Lynn.
