Shawn Darling Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shawn Darling of New Albin, Iowa, who passed away on July 8, 2025 at the age of 45. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Shawn's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Shawn has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his uncle Kerry Darling. He is survived by: his parents, Tracy Darling and Dennis Sickles; his stepmother Heidi Sickles; his stepsiblings, Jessie and Samantha; his grandmother Vera Darling; and his close friend Steve Thesing. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Albin Coumminty Center (137 Railroad Ave, New Albin, IA 52160).
