With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Duane Cleade Stanton of New Hampton, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 10, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Stanton and Opal Stanton (Heiny); his granddaughter Brooke Stanton; his sister Barbara Chapman (Jack); his siblings-in-law, Donna Chance, Delbert Beyer, Robert Chance, Kenneth Hollerud and Jack Chapman; and his nephew Michael Chance.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Stanton of New Hampton, IA; his children, Monty Stanton (Betty) of Milltown, WI, Cindi Knecht (Darrell) of Elma, IA, Jim Stanton (Annette) of Dunkerton, IA and Chuck Stanton (Marla) of New Hampton, IA; and his sisters, Eleanor Hollerud of Austin, MN and Dorothy Beyer of New Hampton, IA. He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
