He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nicholas and Katherine Martha Bell Hanson; his wife Elizabeth Ann Parker; his son Kenneth; and his brother Frank.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Martin (Tony) of New London, Julie Griffith (Charles) of Cape Coral, Barbara Kaine of Ft. Myers, Michael Hanson of New London and Tiffany Bergman (Wayne) of Altoona; and his siblings, Virginia Warren of Pennsylvania, Mary Becker of Missouri, Susie Henderson (Bob) of Mt. Pleasant and Jim Hanson (Darlene) of New London. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for the Lewy Body Dementia Foundation.
