She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Snakenberg and Neta Sarver Snakenberg; and her siblings, Margaret George, Rosemary Stevens and Max Snakenberg.
She is survived by: her husband William Westfall Ward, Jr.; her children, Dr. Denise Thagard (Roy) of West Africa, William "Bill" W. Ward III (Mindy) of Huxley and Steven (Tia) of Nocona, Texas; and her siblings, Phyllis Peterson, Loretta Pope (Steve), Carol Ensor (Donald), Lyle Snakenberg (Rose) and Dick Snakenberg (Bev). She is also survived by seven grandchildren: four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Elliott Funeral Chapel (1 Redbud Ln, New London, IA 52645). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
