It is with sadness that the passing of Robert Bruce Eldridge (New London, Iowa) is shared. Robert, born on May 15, 1938, passed away on August 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert S. Eldridge and Evelyn I. Palmer Eldridge; his wife Claudia Oberman; and his brother Donald. He is survived by: his sister Jody Ann; his sons, Erik (Katie) of North Liberty and Darrick (Amy) of Riverside; his grandchildren, Lexi, Hope, Faith, LilliAnne, Kahlan, Kameron and Magdalena; his great grandchildren, Cooper and Mayburry; and his sister Jody Sprague of Philadelphia, PA.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
While employed at Benton, he started the Benton Foundation and Scholarship Program.
