Alexis Long Obituary
We announce the death of Alexis Long of New Sharon, Iowa, who passed away on July 21, 2026, at the age of 28. Alexis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Bill Briney, Gene Plate, Marvin, Connie Long and Paul Lanphier.
She is survived by: her parents, Steve Long (Terri) of New Sharon and Shari Plate (Briney) of Kimberling, MO; her siblings, Tyler Long (Selena), Brandon Plate, Brandy Plate, Nick Welch, Jake Welch (Amanda) and Danielle Xayakoummane (Ning); and her grandmothers, Karen Briney of Kimberling, MO, Darlene Plate of Arizona and Miola "Pic" Lanphier. She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Iowa School for the Blind or the Stephen's Animal Shelter in Oskaloosa.
