He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Else and Gertrude Else (Steenhoek). He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Chaplik; his sons, Thomas Else of New Sharon and John Merkley of Shamong, NJ; his granddaughters, Ashley and Avery Merkley; his sister Pat Boyd of Mt. Vernon; his nieces, Mary Leopold of Mt. Vernon and Sandy Allen; and his pet Norman.
