He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter VanderBeek and Louise VanderBeek (Walraven); his wife Barbara Michelle VanderBeek; and his brother Peter VanderBeek. He is survived by: his children, Lori King (Joe) of Drakesville, IA, Michelle "Moe" Charlton (Raymond) of Hannibal, MO, Brett "Mack" VanderBeek (Angie) of Waukee, IA, Jeanne Muckerman (Jake) of Cape Girardeau, MO and Zack VanderBeek (Brittany) of New Sharon, IA; his grandchildren, Randall, Nick, Luke (Lori King), Ashli, Jade, Tayler, Raylynn, Raymond Alex (Moe Charlton), Aubrey, Owen, Eli (Mack Vanderbeek), Jake Addison (Jeanne Muckerman), Ellianna, Hallie and Jameson (Zack Vanderbeek); and his siblings, Rodger (Patti) and Paula. He is also survived by cousins along with several nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Sharon Fire and Rescue or the Mahaska Health Partnership Hospice Serenity House.
