She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Mitchell and Ruth Mitchell (Pennell); her husband Raymond Brand; and her brother-in-law Wayne Haworth. She is survived by: her children, Lori Olson (Matt) of Keota and Mike Brand (Beth) of New Sharon; her grandchildren, Nick Olson (Alexandra), Megan Weilbacher (Zach), Nicole Lindenman (Trent), Theryn Vogel (Troy), Alyssa Spoelstra and Claire Scheihing; her great grandchildren, Bodey, Presley, Avery, Levi, Garrett, Ellie, Gracie, London and Bentley; her siblings, Louise Haworth of Grinnell, Diane Shelton (Richard) of Oskaloosa and Larry Mitchell of Rohnert Park; and her pet Milo.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lighthouse Church (206 Park Ave, New Sharon, IA 50207). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stephen's Memorial Animal Shelter in Oskaloosa, the New Sharon Fire and Rescue, North Mahaska Athletic Boosters or New Sharon Food Pantry.
