She was predeceased by : her parents, Bernard Berns and Agnes Berns (Auer); her husband Mark De Sotel of Joseph's Catholic Church; her children, Bonnie and Bruce; her great grandchild Christina Martin; her siblings, Harold Berns, Marguerite Heying and Lorraine Berns; and her in-laws, George De Sotel (Marge), Leo De Sotel (Margaret), Anastasia Frommelt (Harold), Leona Wieser (John), Mildred Wernke (Arthur) and Dorothy Trappe (Elmer).

She is survived by : her children, Betty Mallie (Joseph) of Cedar Rapids, Rodney De Sotel (Mary) of Luxemburg, Mark De Sotel (Linda) of Fairfax, Sandra Otto (Garland) of Albert City, Sue Schultz (Robyn) of Guttenberg, Bradley De Sotel (Kathleen) of Athens, AL and Ned De Sotel of Green Bay, WI; and her grandchildren, Brian De Sotel, Jason De Sotel (Erin), Janell Schilling (Steve), Denton De Sotel (Beth), Dalton De Sotel, Damon De Sotel, Deidre Brown (Aaron), Brandon Otto (Kari), Heather Martin (Chuck), Brett Schultz (Natasha), Drew Schultz (Brandie Tomkins), Shannon Bagwell (Drew), Allison De Sotel, Megan De Sotel, Ben De Sotel and Madison De Sotel. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren.
