He is survived by: his wife Linda Sill; his grandsons, Daniel and Donald; his children, Donald Slye and Lisa Sinclair; his sister Wanda Othling; his sister-in-law Karen Slye; his nieces, Sheri Medick and Felicia Blythe; and his children, Lori Herman of Indianola, Sheila Ripperger (Roger) of Indianola, Shellie Webb (Jeff) of Osceola and Daniel Slye (John Mercado) of Des Moines. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the New Virginia United Methodist Church (301 West St, New Virginia, IA 50210). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
