He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Bascom and Kathryn Bascom (Halway); his sisters, JoAnn Rathje, Donna Bascom and Karla Bascom; and his brother-in-law Lee Rathje.
He is survived by: his children, Brad Bascom (Rachel Bascom) of Leesburg, FL and Jamie Graves (Wayne Graves) of Grand Island, FL.; his grandchildren, Jacob Bascom, Katie Bascom and Keagan Graves; his wife Jane Bascom; his nephews, Rick Rathje (Rebel) and Randy Rathje (Kim); his niece Renee Ellsworth (Dan); his great-niece Angelica Rathje (family: Chelsea Albright, Ross Ellsworth, Tanner Rathje, Carlee Ellsworth); and his close friend Dianna Massey. He is also survived by family, Chelsea Albright and family, Ross Ellsworth and family.
