He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Dean Exley and Dolores Marie James; his father-in-law Thomas Larson; and his close friend Mike McVay. He is survived by: his wife Laura Ann Larson; his sons, Troy Exley of Lakewood, CO and Trent Exley of Newton, IA; his brothers, Steven Schuman-Exley (Rhonda) of Mt. Vernon, IA, Clifton Exley (Ernest Matos) of Canton, NC and Burton Exley of Newton, IA; his sisters-in-law, Christine Freund (Dan) of Humboldt, IA, Sandra Bohan of Des Moines, IA and Deann Hannigan of Tulsa, OK; his mother-in-law Nancy Larson of Fort Dodge, IA; and his pet Ollie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
