She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Ladd and Mary Ratcliff; her husband Raymond Simpson; her son Stephan "Teet" Simpson; and her siblings, Robert Ladd, Dick Ladd, Max Ladd and Colleen McGriff.
She is survived by: her sons, Dave Simpson (Leone) of Waterloo and Rod Simpson (Susan) of Newton; her grandchildren, Kelly Harris (Mark), Davey Simpson (Tammy), Libby Demuth (Scott), Kristin Hartz (Ryan), Sarah Hanneman (Silas) and Stephanie Pardo (Christian); and her sister Mary Lou Runyan of Fairfax. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barb's name to the Kellogg Historical Society.
