He was predeceased by: his parents, Hollis Strike and Avis Strike (Stuelke); his sister Beverly Bennett; and his children, Scott Strike and Nancy White.
He is survived by: his wife Marlis Strike of Newton; his son Jeff Strike (Lori) of Newton; his daughter-in-law Joni Strike of Maumelle, Arkansas; his grandchildren, CJ Strike (Roxanne) of Ames, Jarid Strike (Courtney) of Bondurant, Reagan Harrell (Josh) of Greenbrier, Jason White (Lacey) of Centerville and Cheryl Finch (Zach) of Centerville; his great grandchildren, Caiden Strike, Calen Strike, Quinn Harrell, Jaxon Harrell, Liam White, Ella White, Dylan Finch and Knox Finch; and his siblings, Marilyn Strike of Mason City and Marvin Strike (Marge) of Waukon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Burt's honor to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton or to NHS Activities Department (please note "In memory of Burt Strike" in the memo line of checks).
